Operating information for IWS Stigsnæs

At Industrial Water Solutions’ waste water treatment and recovery plant in Stigsnæs, ships regularly arrive with industrial waste water for recovery and treatment.

On 26th November 2023, the ship Scandinavia is expected to dock with sligthly contaminated oily waste water from our reception facility in Mongstad, Norway. The authorities in both Denmark and Norway have approved the import of the oily waste water.

The facility in Stigsnæs is one of Northern Europe’s most advanced biological treatment plants for the treatment of industrial waste water. This means that industries can safely have their polluted waste water effectively treated and maintain their functions in society, while society can be sure that the industrial waste water is cleaned in the best possible way, using the best available technology (BAT) we have today.

Industrial Water Solutions continuously strives to inform about ships arriving at our treatment plant in Stigsnæs.
